There are many, many hotels on Phuket Island which you can choose from.  However, Phuket island is quite big, so from the south end to Laguna Phuket it will take 1-1.5hr by car, or even longer if traffic is bad.  From Phuket town it’s 45 minutes driving (without traffic).  Therefore we recommend you to stay closer to Laguna Phuket, for example around Bang Tao beach, Surin beach, Kamala beach or Kalim/Patong beach.

We recommend to use the following websites to choose your hotel:

• www.tripadvisor.com.  This website has user reviews of nearly all hotels in Phuket and it’s a great resource to prepare your trip
• www.booking.com or www.agoda.com.  These websites are worldwide the mostly used websites to book hotel rooms and they usually have good deals available
• www.airbnb.com.  If you want to rent an apartment from individual owners then this is the best resource to go to.  This website has the most apartments available and has many user reviews for each flat.
